Dr. Holland is a board-certified osteopathic physician and psychiatrist, licensed in Virginia, with an office in Blacksburg. 

Before founding his private practice in Spring 2023, he served as a psychiatrist at the Amen Clinic in Seattle. 

He holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics, which informs his approach to psychiatric care, and has extensive experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders. 

Dr. Holland emphasizes a whole-person, integrative approach that incorporates evidence-based psychiatry alongside attention to nutrition and physical activity.

Taryn Wilson provides comprehensive psychiatric care under the supervision of a licensed physician, with a focus on careful evaluation, evidence-based treatment, and patient-centered decision-making.

As a physician assistant, Taryn is trained to conduct clinical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications within the scope of her licensure. She works collaboratively with supervising physicians to support patients across a range of mental health conditions.

Taryn has been practicing medicine since 2012 and brings a broad background that includes Sports Medicine, Regenerative Medicine, Psychiatry, Urgent Care, and pain-focused care. She’s known for a thoughtful, multimodal approach—looking at the whole person and building practical, progressive treatment plans to support health and wellbeing.

Originally from Crab Orchard, West Virginia, Taryn earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011 and moved to the Roanoke Valley to begin her career. She also has a strong track record working with children ages 8 and up.

Taryn is joining Blacksburg Psychiatry and looks forward to continuing her work in a setting that emphasizes thoughtful, individualized care and close medical oversight.
